Leadership Actions That Get Results
Actions Will Always Produce Results
Having a brilliant idea is great until you start doing the work to create and generate it. This is where most people do not know what to do next. Some people know what to do and do not take the actions to complete the task. Others know what to do and get done what it takes to finish.
"Action is the foundational key to all success." ~ Pablo Picasso
Taking action is essential in how you make things happen. Your ability to take action, produce results, and change. The action you take is going to determine the results you get. Action causes action as in every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
“Leaders don’t make excuses. They create results.” ~ Robin Sharma
Visualize the End Result
As a leader, take a few minutes and think about what works for you to get the results you want. There are many different leadership styles. Which one you use depends on your comfort, how you interact with others, and how productive you are.
Leaders are expected to produce positive results for the organization. Are you doing everything you can to get your desired results? If not, what will you do to achieve the results you want and need?
Leaders who start with a solid belief are the ones who inspire those around them. Start by visualizing what actions you will take. Achieving the goal you set out to accomplish is one thing. Going beyond to achieve extraordinary results is something else. The latter demonstrates your leadership skills – knowing how to get greater results than other leaders. The most critical factor of leadership is getting results.
 Think About It
“Only new actions will bring different results.” ~ Billy Cox
Taking action is essential in how you make things happen. Your ability to take actions, produce results, and additionally allowing that result to increase your confidence moving forward.
If you never take any action on any ideas, nothing will be accomplished. On the other hand, what if someone else had that same idea and took action on the idea? What if they acted on it, generated it, produced it, and it was successful? How would you feel then?
Mindset of Taking Action
“Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” ~ Benjamin Franklin
Many people fear taking action, yet you love to make a list of things to do. When it comes to putting it all into motion, too many people procrastinate, or find an excuse. In today’s business world you cannot do that unless you want to be in business.
Successful people tend to have an action mindset – they have developed the habit of taking action even when things are not perfect. An action mindset is a mindset that is geared towards trying new things, getting things done. Give your ideas value as you work on them. Taking action has the added benefit of improving your confidence.
Develop mindset habits that will motivate you to take action. These are proactive habits that result in you being productive. An action mindset awakens your potential. Use it wisely, and also don’t be afraid to make mistakes and learn from them.
Taking Action Creates Reaction
“Don’t be upset by the results you did not get from the work you did not do.” ~ Unknown
Some people imagine they did a lot of work when in reality they either did very little or nothing at all. They think they should be praised for the challenging work they actually did not do.
By taking action and succeeding with your project, you become motivated to want to do even more. Taking action creates the reaction you need to move things forward, for both the current idea and subsequent ideas. When your employees see you taking action, it also motivates them to work on what is in the best interest of the company.
Focused Action Produces Results
“Taking bold, focused action creates explosive results.” ~ John Di Lemme
Being positive in what you are doing is the foundation for every success and every failure you have had and will have. It will make you or break you. Use it to your advantage. Focus on behaviors that produce results. Your behaviors and attitude toward what you are working on impacts the results you get.
Action leads to competency, which leads to confidence, which leads to more competency. Think, act, and repeat to get your desired results. For many people, a lack of action is what holds them back from accomplishing remarkable results. They have great, even brilliant ideas they never tested.
So, what do you need to do in order to take action on your current project? Focus your attention on what needs to be done. Make a deliberate effort to seek out new ways of doing things.
